Wasted water is wasted energy which produces pollution for nothing!

A lot of big talk on measures to combat climate change yet some relatively simple engineering could make an enormous difference.

Let’s consider the typical household shower. The majority of us turn on the shower and wait until the hot water arrives. Numerous gallons flow down the drain unused for almost every shower we take. I estimate for our household, we waste over 4000 gallons every year just waiting for the hot water to arrive. There’s over 100 million residents in the U.S. alone. Keeping in mind that on demand water heaters and smart re-circulation pumps solve this problem but are not financially feasible for many. What if there was a low cost device everyone could afford to save this water for the toilet? Even grey water could be saved.

I’m sure a lot of engineering went into the low flush toilet to save 0.4 gallons per flush. Over 6 times that much can be wasted for 1 shower waiting for the hot water. We can do Better! Please join our email list below to follow these Engineering efforts. Thank you for reading this post.
