Without thinking, we do so many things that use up resources and add to pollution for nothing. Just a simple action can make a difference.
Let’s consider turning off unused lights. Did you know a 60 watt lightbulb on for 1 hour will burn 1 cubic inch of coal or equivalent in terms of power generation?
Over 60% of the US’s electricity comes from burning coal and natural gas according to the EIA. Lights on in un-used spaces produce pollution for nothing! It’s so easy, if they’re not being used, do your best to turn them off.
